There is something incredibly rewarding and empowering about making your own gear. I made these at the start of the season using the DIY kit from@lotn.outfitters. They have been out on all 3 expeditions I’ve done so far and are hands down (pun intended) the warmest mittens/gloves I’ve ever had...We’ve had 30 below and they have performed amazingly.

...I got the kit from@lotn.outfitters. Their instructions were great and guided me from staring at pieces of material to finished product. I salvaged the beaver fur from a vintage coat, and plan to add a rubber sole for durability. These boots are the coziest things I've ever worn and even though the snow is melting now, I'm excited for next winter to play in them more!
